There are several things that you should not do when raising a cat. If you knew them earlier, you could avoid many detours.

In terms of “clothing”:

It is generally not recommended to dress cats. The fur of cats themselves has a certain warming function, and they have the habit of licking their fur. If they are dressed, they may habitually lick the threads of the clothes, and if they swallow the thread ends, it may cause foreign body blockage in the gastrointestinal tract. However, some individual breeds need to wear clothes. For example, Sphynx cats can enhance their cold resistance and avoid getting cold and sick by wearing clothes. Meanwhile, clothes can reduce the irritation to the skin in the environment and prevent skin injuries and infections.

In terms of “living”:

Not sealing the windows: Especially when kittens are left alone at home without supervision, if the windows are not sealed properly, it will increase potential safety hazards. Because when cats are left alone at home, their curiosity will prompt them to explore everywhere.

If there are small insects flying around at home and the cat spots them with its sharp eyes, it will climb onto the windows, balconies and other high places to observe the small insects and then carry out hunting activities. We should provide a safe and fun environment for the cat to satisfy its desire to explore the unknown world while ensuring its safety.

In terms of “traveling”:

Forcing cats to go out: Cats are different from dogs. Most cats are very socially phobic and don’t like crowded places. Especially for those timid and sensitive cats, if they are taken outside, they will become very nervous and run around crazily. Not only are they likely to get lost, but it will also cause stress to the cats!

In terms of “eating”:

In fact, cats themselves have little resistance to many things, and cats are all babies with strong curiosity. They like to bite and lick wherever there is a smell. If there are chocolates and foods containing coffee at home, they must be placed out of the cat’s reach. You can put them in storage boxes with lids. If you just pack them in plastic bags, the kittens will bite through the bags and eat the contents inside, and the consequences could be unimaginable.
